ROBO-HI Corporation has officially announced and launched a dedicated driverless transport lineup for ultra-heavy loads, including:
- RoboCar® AGV 50T
- RoboCar® AGV 100T / 150T
These new models are designed to meet the demand for transporting and precisely positioning equipment and components weighing from 50 to 150 tons.

BACKGROUND: TACKLING THE "ULTRA-HEAVY ZONE" — HEAVY INDUSTRY’S BOTTLENECK
Around 80–90% of the global AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) market is focused on light and medium-duty vehicles under 3 tons. Meanwhile, in heavy industries such as shipbuilding, railways, aerospace, and large generator manufacturing, automating the transport of components over 10 tons remains a major challenge.
ROBO-HI previously deployed the RoboCar® Tractor 25T, capable of towing up to 30 tons, and achieved a real-world Level-4 autonomous-driving deployment (fully autonomous under defined conditions) inside a restricted area of an airport.
Responding to rising market demand, ROBO-HI is expanding its product lineup with a new AGV series that can directly carry ultra-heavy loads from 50 to 150 tons, with high-precision transport and positioning.
HIGHLIGHT FEATURES OF THE SOLUTION
The new lineup inherits the autonomous-operation technology and rigorous safety standards proven at airports, while being optimized for the unique demands of industrial production lines.
1. Multi-layered safety design for ultra-heavy transport (applies across the entire lineup)
In ultra-heavy transport applications, accident risks can have severe consequences. Therefore, the AGVs are equipped with:
- 360° laser scanners
- Bumper sensors
- Hardware-wired emergency-stop circuits
This multi-layer protection structure meets the especially stringent safety standards required for ultra-heavy transport.
2. Superior strength and high precision for payloads over 100 tons (100T/150T models)
Models with 100-ton payload and above come with advanced features:
High-precision positioning:
- Movement error as low as ±10 mm
- With optional camera-based or mechanical-guide correction, accuracy can reach ±1 to 5 mm
Omnidirectional movement:
- Independent steering for 4 to 16+ wheels
- Pivot in place and crab steering
- Fully replaces crane-dependent operations
3.Integrated management via the "ROBO-HI OS" Autonomous Operating System
Beyond providing transport vehicles, ROBO-HI also delivers the ROBO-HI OS intelligent operations platform, enabling:
- Route optimization across multiple AGVs
- Seamless connection with on-site staff
- Integration with MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
- Integration with WMS (Warehouse Management System)
As a result, the entire production site runs in sync and is optimized end-to-end.
